The Managed operating mode offers a turnkey solution for users who want a simple, hands-off web hosting experience. This mode is ideal for beginners or users who prefer to focus on content rather than technical management.

CC-IN2P3 provides a fully managed hosting environment with pre-configured, supported technologies. This requires minimal technical effort compared to other operating modes.

  • CC-IN2P3 responsibilities:

    • Infrastructure management

    • Platform management and maintenance

    • Security updates

    • Backups

LIMITATIONS

  • Limited set of supported technologies

  • No custom server configurations

  • No access or error logs

  • No direct server access

Supported Technologies

The following products are supported under the Managed operating mode:

  • WordPress: Popular content management system for blogs and websites

  • DokuWiki: Simple and lightweight wiki platform

  • Static HTML/CSS/JS pages: Using GitLab Pages on our GitLab platform

Note

Gitlab Pages are self provisioned: no hosting request is required. It is highly recommended to use a non-personnal namespace to create your Gitlab Pages.

You may still request an IN2P3 managed domain name (especially for the in2p3.fr domain) associated with the Gitlab pages via our user support. If you purchased your own domain from a registrar, you can configure it yourself in the project settings. Gitlab Pages documentation is available.
